Standards for Professional Learning Week 2023
April 2023 marks one year since Learning Forward released revised Standards for Professional Learning. Over the past year, thousands of educators have learned about standards through webinars, networks, and professional learning communities; used standards tools, publications, and Innovation Configuration maps; and shared with us how they are changing their practices as a result. For these reasons, Learning Forward has established the last week in April as Standards for Professional Learning Week.
Standards Week is both an annual celebration and a call to action. It’s an open invitation for educators at all levels to continue their learning journeys and deepen their knowledge of high-quality professional learning that changes practice. Standards Week is also an opportunity to support equitable, sustained funding that ensures access for all educators to participate in high-quality professional learning.
In 2023, April 24-28 is dedicated to this celebration of leading teaching with Standards for Professional Learning. We will highlight resources that support implementation of high-quality professional learning, showcase a set of new tools and reflect on how the standards have maintained their relevancy over four decades as the bedrock of comprehensive professional learning in schools and systems.
During Standards Week 2023, @LearningForward released a host of NEW tools to help educators at all levels implement Standards for Professional Learning in their schools and systems. Access the recordings and tools now! #Stand4PL Share on X
